TAMPA, Florida -- Hope you saved some room after Christmas dinner because Week Four in Major Arena Soccer League 2 play is shaping up to be pretty tasty, with "spicy wings" on the menu

One of the most historic names in pro indoor soccer and one of the more fun and popular new teams in MASL 2 will kick off their 2025-26 schedule this coming weekend. The Wichita Wings, who first debuted at the Kansas Coliseum in the original Major Indoor Soccer League during its 1979-80 season, will host the Minnesota Blizzard on Saturday, December 27 at the Park City Arena in Park City, Kansas. Then Spice City, who plays at the Danbury Arena, will host the Salisbury Steaks for back-to-back games on December 29 and December 30.

It's part of a busy weekend between the Christmas and New Year's holiday, with the Iowa Raptors at home for the MASL 2 / MASL W doubleheader at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse in Cedar Rapids when the Omaha Kings and Omaha Queens come to town.

That's not the only double dip, however, as the OKC Certified Lions will host a MASL 2 / MASL 3 twin bill at the OG&E Coliseum. The Texas Spurs are in town for a MASL 2 matchup starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, followed at 6:30 as the MASL 3 Champion RGV Barracudas start their 2025-26 season.

There are more season openers to come after the New Years, as FC Baltimore 1729 will host Spice City on January 3, along with home games the first weekend of 2026 in Omaha, Wichita and Dallas (Texas Spurs).
