Wichita Wings Jose Ocampo, Junior Quezada sweep weekly GK, Offensive honors
TAMPA, Florida -- The Wichita Wings had a big opening night --big crowd and big win -- which has led to two of their players being honored as the Major Arena Soccer League 2 players of the week.
Junior Quezada was one of the two Wings players to have five-point nights, as he had three goals and two assists to earn Offensive Player of the Week, while his teammate Jose Ocampo didn't allow a goal for the final two and one-half quarters in what turned into a 10-2 win over the Minnesota Blizzard.
Quezada is in his third season with the WIngs, but has played sparingly in that time. But he has made the most of his time in the lineup, now appearing in eight games in that span with 10 goals and four assists.
Campos is a veteran of the indoor game, and is also in his third season. Each of the last two years he has won eight games, and has an impressive 5.25 goals against average in 20 career regular season starts.
