Rodriguez (OKC Certified Lions) and Ocampo (Wichita Wings) earn Player of Week honors

TAMPA, Florida -- Jesus Rodriguez has been named the Major Arena Soccer League 2 Offensive Player of the Week, while Jose Ocampo has been named Goalkeeper of the week as they helped their two teams -- the OKC Certified Lions and Wichita Wings respectively -- continue undefeated starts to the 2025-26 season.

Ocampo has now made 24 career starts over three seasons in the regular season and playoffs for the Wings, and was in net for his club's 8-2 win over Omaha this past weekend. In 10 of those games, with at least 30 minutes played, he has allowed three or fewer goals, It's also the second time this year he's played a full four quarters and allowed two goals. He turned the same trick in late December in an 11-2 win over the Minnesota Blizzard. The Wings are 3-0 so far this season.

OKC is also 3-0 after Rodriguez pumped in four goals in an 11-4 road win over the Texas Spurs. He actually debuted in the league for the Iowa Raptors in 2022-23 when he appeared in two games with no goals. But so far this year, he has five goals and two assist through the team's first three starts.
