OKC Certified Lions, Omaha Kings and Texas Spurs all with home openers this weekend



TAMPA, Florida -- After a pair of games decided in the last minute of play in each of them in the first two weeks of Major Arena Soccer League 2, action heats up on the weekend before Christmas with three widely anticipated home openers.

The OKC Certified Lions will host its first official MASL games on Saturday, December 20, with the MASL 2 / MASL 3 doubleheader. At 4 p.m. CST, the Certified Lions will welcome Soles De Sonora to the 4,500 seat OG&E Coliseum, the team's new home field in downtown Oklahoma City. The MASL 3 Lions will host Austin's Bold Dream FC following the conclusion of the MASL 2 contest.
Also back in action in the MASL are the Omaha Kings, who since they last played under the league banner, has grown to move their games to the 7,800 seat Baxter Arena in Omaha. They two will have a doubleheader with their MASL W team, the Omaha Queens, hosting the Iowa Raptors at 4 p.m. At 7 p.m. the Raptors and Kings will meet in a MASL 2 matchup.
On Sunday, the Texas Spurs under the direction of Coach Eddie Puskarich, will make their 2025-26 debut when they host Sonora. Puskarich is a veteran of over 300 pro indoor games, and is a former coach for the Dallas Sidekicks.
