Ninth MASL 2 season kicks off in Cedar Rapids as Raptors host the Minnesota Blizzard

TAMPA, Florida -- The Iowa Raptors will host a Major Arena Soccer League double header Saturday to kick off the ninth season of play in MASL 2.

The Raptors will start the festivities at 4 p.m. CST as their new entry in Major Arena Soccer League Women hosts the KS Astras in a 4 p.m. start at the Alliant Energy Fieldhouse. Then at 7 p.m. their MASL 2 team will host the Minnesota Blizzard in the first MASL 2 contest of 2025-26.

The Raptors come back reenergized after sitting out last season, and having plenty of past success in the league. They advanced to the 2022-23 MASL 2 championship game where they fell to the Chihuahua Savage in that title tilt.
