Huge games in Guadalajara, Wichita, Omaha, Sonora highlight week 7 MASL 2 slate

TAMPA, Florida -- Most teams still haven't hit the midpoint on their 2025-26 Major Arena Soccer League 2 season, but that doesn't mean there aren't some monster games on the slate to highlight Week 7 action.

North of the border, the Iowa Raptors and Wichita Wings will both put perfect 3-0 starts on the line when the two tangle in Wichita at the Heartland Credit Union Arena. Interestingly;, it will  be the first of three straight meetings between the two -- Iowa will host the Wings for a doubleheader weekend at the end of the month -- which could go a long way to deciding how the ;Midwest Division will shake out.

Speaking of the Midwest, the Iowa Demon Hawks are in Omaha, where the Kings will host two games this weekend (the other against the Minnesota Blizzard). It is the season opener for the Demon Hawks who won the league title two years ago, and just missed defending their crown when they fell in double-overtime in last season's championship tilt.

There's big action south of the border as well as a sure to be "instant rivalry" heats up in Sonora where the Soles will host Mexico City, with a bevy of MASL stars on display in this one,  from Franck Tayou to Berna Valdavinos. Additionally, the Guadalajara Mariachis will make their MASL debut at home with a pair against the Turlock Cal Express.

Utica will be the site of a Martin Luther King Day double dips as United Elite Krajisnik hosts the Salisbury Steaks in the MASL 2 matchup following the concluding of the MASL showdown  between Utica City FC and the Baltimore Blast.
