Harrisburg atop East; Omaha wins 4th straight, Turlock sweeps, Soles triumphs too

TAMPA, Florida -- The Harrisburg Heat and Omaha Kings continued their late season surges to highlight Week 14 action in Major Arena Soccer League 2.

The Heat handled a tough Spice City squad in a weekend sweep, including an 8-4 win before a  big crowd Sunday afternoon in Danbury, Connecticut. Harrisburg is 5-0, and will be on the road against Baltimore this coming weekend before their long-anticipated home opener at Hersehypark Arena on March 20 when they host FC Baltimore 1729.

Omaha  continues to turn their season around, winning their fourth straight, joining three other teams in the super tough Midwest Division where all four are .500 or better on the regular season.

Elsewhere this weekend, Turlock swept a home-and-home series against the Soccer Central Black Hawks, Soles de Sonora needed a shootout to tip Guadalajara, and the Minnesota Blizzard opened at home with two completive losses.

Next weekend, Sonora will make its two-game California swing, the Kings will get a huge test as they travel to Des Moines to take on the first-place Iowa Demon Hawks for two and Guadalajara will be in Mexico City.
