TAMPA, Florida -- Action both north and south of the border was spicy in Week 7 of Major Arena Soccer League 2 action with the Guadalajara Mariachis making a Visual statement on and off the field, Mexico City getting a huge road win in Sonora and the Wichita Wings winning a battle of unbeatens in the Midwest Division.

The Wings hosted the Iowa Raptors in what was round one of three. Both came in at 3-0, and the Wings pulled out a thriller, 10-9, to take control in the division for now. But, the two teams will tangle for a doubleheader in Cedar Rapids Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 with the Raptors sure to have revenge on their minds.

Guadalajara made a spectacular debut, with a great show off the field and an equally good on on the turf in sweeping two from visiting Turlock and an early season showdown in Hermosillo saw Mexico City win its third straight on the road over the loaded Soles lineup.

Also in week 7, Omaha got back on the winning track, picking up a victory in the back end of their two games at Baxter Arena and Utica's United Elite Krajisnik made it a MASL sweep in upstate New York as their parent team, Utica City FC, picked up a win over the Baltimore Blast in game prior to the United Elite kickoff at the Adirondack Bank Center.

Next weekend, just three games, highlighted by the home debut of FC Baltimore 1729, the new affiliate of the MASL Baltimore Blast, and a two-game California swing for the Texas Spurs.
