Iowa rallies -- after furious Minnesota comeback -- to win season opener

TAMPA, Florida -- If Game One of the 2025-26 Major Arena Soccer League 2 season is any indication, fans from coast-to-coast are in for an entertaining and wild winter.
The Iowa Raptors thrilled the home crowd -- including Cedar Rapids Mayor Tiffany O'Donnell -- at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Saturday, opening a 6-2 lead early in the third quarter, before the second-year Minnesota Blizzard went on an offensive tear and scored five straight to take a 7-6 lead in the fourth.
But the Raptors weren't done. They tied the game with just under six minutes to go and Jonah Dancer scored his fourth goal of the game with 54 seconds remaining to lift the Raptors to the triumph. It was the season opener for both teams and the MASL 2 as a whole. For a full game recap, and up to date MASL 2 information CLICK HERE!!!
